The Aztecs

The Aztecs civilization was part of the Mesoamericans religion. In their government the Aztecs people respected their rulers and if they didn’t obey the law they would have to suffer the consequence. In their religion they believed in all types of gods like the sun of gods, the dark of gods, and so on. In their food supply they were on a healthy diet. Their technology was helpful in battles. Their arts and poetry was famous and now worth a lot of money. Aztecs social structure was difficult. Their writing was very colorful and meant a lot of things. The Aztecs work very hard to keep their social structure, government, writing and food supply in places.
The Aztecs government was considered an empire. This was more like a system of tribute instead a system of government. Although the government was considered an empire it was still organized. As long as the tribute payments were made Aztecs didn’t interfered. The Aztecs empire was an informal empire because it is not a exert supreme over the conquered lands. The Aztecs government became rich and powerful. People were respectful of the Aztecs government because of the large amounts of money.
Aztec social structure was much regimented. Their social structure was divided up into two groups. One was the peasantry, the other was macehualli. Later in those days of the empire macehualli had change. Eduardo estimated only twenty percent of their population. Some of the cities under Aztecs rule show that the number of luxuries items was produced in Tenochtitlan. Some Aztecs would have sold their children or themselves for slavery.
The Aztecs believed all types of gods. They also believed that the sun fought the darkness and that the earth was flat. The Aztecs put in great effort so they can impress the gods. The Aztecs has greatly and strongly respected their gods. They worshipped one thousand gods! Aztecs thought that getting the gods to look upon them by doing the act of sacrifice in which the way they died. Eastern paradise is where the warriors go when they get killed in a battle. Religion played a very important part in Aztecs lives.
The Aztecs was on a well-balanced diet. They ate tomatoes, avocados, atole, maize (corn) and tortillas. Maize was their main dish. Aztecs also ate chocolate. They would drink cacao mixed with maize. Aztecs ate twice a day. The important meal was to eat during the hottest days. They drunk an alcoholic drink called octal. This drink was made of maguey (a plant). The task of feeding was hard and the farming was even harder because the population grew bigger and bigger.
Aztecs developed a writing system and Aztecs writing isn’t written in letters. The Aztecs use deer skin and paper codices.  They use pictures called glyphs to have more color and meanings. Some are used for calendar and historic events. The writing was done by trained craftsmen. Most writing was done by the scribes. Scribes were usually in the upper-class. Aztec scribes kept records of religion, ceremonies, daily, and daily events. Aztec writing is very important because without it we wouldn't be able to research them.
The Aztecs technology was safe and could help them in battles. Aztecs didn't have metal so to make their weapons and tools they used iron or bronze. Their technology was made so advanced the even made drills. They used a weapon that was made out of thin wood and sharp glass. This weapon is called a macuahuitl. They also made medicine for drinks, and ointment. They got so advanced that they were familiar with the wheel but they only used it for toys. If we didn't have Aztecs technology we wouldn't have weapons or transportation.
Aztecs made many types of arts. Aztecs arts, songs and poetry were highly regarded. Poetry was mostly in their festival. The stone workers would make statues from rock stone workers were highly skilled and trained in an earlier time. Aztecs pottery wasn’t made with the potter wheel. They made them by hand or carved them. Aztecs usually design the inside and paint it with two colors. If we didn’t have the Aztecs arts we would not have pots or poetry.

The Aztecs made one of the greatest civilizations but their world came with human cost. Aztecs rulers put heavy tribute on millions of subjects. Thousand of natives died because of diseases. The Aztecs believed that the human flesh was to be consumed. The farming gave the people an effective way of living. The arts, music, and crafts gave them more meaning and color to paintings and other stuff. These Aztecs had a very hard working civilization
